You’ll be working for a banking company who is looking for an UX Service Designer.This will be a contract role until 30 June 2022 for now, to be based in Singapore.

Your new role

  • Our team’s responsibility is to transition the operating model of the Bank’s Enterprise Technology department to operating as a Service Organization.
  • This includes designing and implementing the journeys our customers will take and the experience they will have when engaging with us.
  • You will be working with our Service Design Office and the Central UX team and be responsible designing customer journeys for requesting and consuming Technology Services.
  • This means understanding how to conduct research through user interviews and behavioural studies, meeting process and business owners to understand their goals, and applying your learnings to design new and improved service experience.
  • In addition to these activities you will gather qualitative and quantitative data to inform your design thinking, where you provide validation for your decisions and demonstrate how it gets expressed through your designs.
  • This includes engaging a wide variety of teams exposing you to the inner workings of the Bank, where you will explore how to make connections and facilitate cross-functional efficiencies through automation and workflow optimisation.
  • You will have to learn how we operate, how the business works, and how CX, UX and UI have an impact.
  • You need to be familiar with human centred design methodology, such as mental model diagrams, journey maps, and comfortable running workshops with a team.
  • Your delivery responsibilities span research, process mapping, testing, and give input to UI design where you engage with engineering teams to help them understand and build your processes.
  • Participate in service design activities including UX Research, customer workshops, process mapping, as well as participate in the Bank’s DesignOps community.
  • Meet with people in the Bank to understand the business context of the work we do, and understand how they think and work to design journeys that better support their activities.
  • Design new and optimised processes which will achieve improved service delivery and customer experience.
  • Work closely with engineering teams throughout the development process and support them as they build your service designs.
  • Keep track and advocate for key trends in Service Design and UX through new ways of working, new design patterns in the market (best practices in UI), evolving consumer behaviours, and modern design tools.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3-5 years relevant experience and track record of success in Service design.
  • Achieved measurable results in process improvement and increased customer satisfaction.
  • A passion for creating products and services that resonate emotionally with people.
  • A proven ability to solve problems and make balanced judgments / decisions are essential to this role.
  • Experienced with Process mapping tools. Must be tool agnostic.
  • Strong understanding of visual elements (Layout, Type, Fonts…).
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and front-end engineering terminology to facilitate communication with engineering teams.
  • Able to build prototypes.
  • Handy in research.
  • Excellent design skills, good taste, attention to detail, able to spot flaws.
  • Experienced with either Sketch/Figma.
  • This role is only open to Singapore PR or Singaporean.
